2023 Summer Reading Challenge
Wheaton Public Library’s 2023 Summer Reading Challenge: Find Your Voice begins Thursday, June 1! The challenge is open to all ages: Youth (birth to 5th grade), Teens (6th to 12th grade) and Adults (18 years and older), and will run from Thursday, June 1 – Monday, July 31. No library card required to participate.

Audiobook Appreciation Month

National Library Week
There's More to the Story
Join us in the annual celebration of libraries, their workers, and the many services they provide during National Library Week (April 23 – 29)! There is so much more to the story when it comes to libraries and what they offer, and this year’s NLW theme is all about that.
Student Craft Sale
All are invited to shop Wheaton Public Library’s Student Craft Sale from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, March 11. The sale will take place in the library’s Arts & Culture Center, and feature a variety of homemade goods available for $10.00 or less. All items at the sale are made by student crafters in grades K-8.

Exhibit: MLK's Chicago Freedom Movement
Wheaton Public Library (WPL) will host the exhibit, MLK’s Chicago Freedom Movement, featuring photographer Bernard Kleina’s rare and historic color photographs of Martin Luther King, Jr. The exhibit will be on display in WPL’s Arts & Culture Center during the month of January. All artwork is from the Elmhurst Art Museum's collection, Gifts of Bernard Kleina and Susan Keleher.
New Database Added
Just added! Consumer Health Complete is a new resource you can access from anywhere with your library card. Find authoritative information on health and wellness topics, prescription and over the counter drugs, and natural and alternative treatments. Whether you are looking to learn more about medical topics or completing a research project, you’ll find what you need.

Vote on November 8
The next election in DuPage County is the general election on Tuesday, November 8, 2022.
Early Voting at the DuPage County Fairgrounds began September 29, 2022. An additional 21 locations will open for voting on October 24.
Voters who wish to vote by mail are encouraged to fill out a Vote by Mail application as early as possible. The first Vote by Mail ballots were mailed to voters 40 days prior to the election, and no more will be mailed out after November 3. Voted ballots must be postmarked no later than Election Day in order to be counted.
