Friends of Wheaton Public Library was started in 2003 and anyone can join. Membership dues, along with money raised from the annual sales and Book Nook purchases, directly benefit the library.
After you join the Friends, join our dedicated team of volunteers to work on sorting donations, stocking the Book Nook, and helping at book sales.
Shop at the Book Nook
The Book Nook is located on the main floor of the library. Shop for great bargains during regular library hours. Place your payment in the donation box located in the Nook. Cash and checks payable to Friends of the Wheaton Public Library are accepted.
The Friends host an annual Book & Media sale in August and a Holiday Book and Art Sale in November. Check the library calendar for upcoming sales.
No donations in January or February 2022, as our volunteers take a much needed break.
When the bins return to the lobby in March 2022 you can donate books, DVDs, audiobooks, LPs, and CDs to the Friends. Please, no VHS tapes, cassettes, or sets of encyclopedias.
Donations must be in good condition as the Friends sell your donations in the Nook or at book sales. If you wouldn’t give it to a friend, please don’t donate it to the Friends.
