Battle of the Books

Begun at the Wheaton Public Library in 1987, the library's Battle of the Books program challenges local 4th and 5th grade students to read and become familiar with a wide variety of books. Book lists are put together by the Youth Services librarians and alternate every other year with some additions each season. Teams are formed through their school. A new season begins each January.

Elementary Schools located within the City of Wheaton or District 200 School District boundaries are eligible to participate in Battle of the Books.
