Whisper of the Woods by Ennun Ana Iurov is the author's first professionally published graphic novel. It's about a young foreigner, Adam, who travels to a supposedly haunted forest in Romania to search for his friend who had gone there solo and vanished. Ignoring the advice of the locals, Adam arrogantly assumes he is above the supernatural forces obviously at play.

Takeo Goda, is the kindest soul alive who will literally save kittens and children, but his large and rough appearance is off putting to most girls and adults. Sunakawa, (Suna) is Takeo’s best childhood friend who actually cared about Takeo. Suna is handsome and all the girls Takeo falls in love with hate him, but fall in love with Suna. Until he meets Yamato, a kind, nice girl who likes to bake. Takeo doesn't want to get his hopes up anymore but when Yamato keeps making him cakes, Takeo can't help himself from falling in love.

You Died: an anthology of the afterlife is a 2020 graphic novel comprised of 24 short pieces by different authors and illustrators, all relating to death, dying, grief and various depictions of an afterlife. This is a beautiful rollercoaster, as optimistic, inspiring and grounding as it is haunting.

A Sign of Affection is a really cute romance manga in where Yuki, a soft-spoken girl who is deaf, falls for Itsuomi. Itsuomi is a friend of a friend who loves traveling and learning about new cultures and languages. This is a really sweet manga about love and communication.

This book is definitely worth reading. The main character Moth uncovers she is a witch, her mother is a witch and her mother is really much older then she looks. Moth has to fight not only the bullies at school but an old war between witches and witch hunters.

A book for book lovers! Theo Fumis loves books, but because he lives in the slums, the town librarian refuses to let him borrow books or even set foot inside the library. That doesn't stop him from sneaking in to read them though! Due to his mixed ancestry, easily apparent by his pointed ears and blonde hair, Theo is shunned by nearly all of the town's residence, and books are his only escape from his harsh life. A life he dreams of leaving behind by becoming a kafna.

This graphic novel takes place in a magical universe in a special town. There is magic, a seer, quirky tech, a bakery, a musician, a mystery and romance. This is a cozy, magical read with some adventure.

This is an extremely cute romance graphic novel series with beautiful art. This series has recently been adapted by Netflix. Charlie Spring was outed and heavily bullied his first year at Truham Grammar School for Boys. Entering year 10 Charlie is hopeful about the new year. Until he develops a crush on Nick Nelson, a year 11 in the rugby team, a possibly, maybe not, entirely straight cute boy.

Cheer Up: Love and Pompoms is a heart lifting story about finding your voice, LGBTQ+ representation, friendship and love. This is a quick read with a happy ending. The character Anne wants to get into college and tries to find a way to become more involved in after school activities after a meeting with her guidance counselor. While Bebe is trying to figure out life after coming out and joining the cheerleading squad as the first transgender cheerleader. This graphic novel is a definite must read!
