Read or listen to books, audiobooks, magazines, and newspapers from anywhere (like in front of a toasty fire or under a pile of blankets)! Download the apps or use your computer to discover the latest bestsellers, classics, today’s newspapers, and a variety of magazines. You’ll find something for everyone with content geared toward children, teens, and adults.  

New Database Added

Just added! Consumer Health Complete is a new resource you can access from anywhere with your library card. Find authoritative information on health and wellness topics, prescription and over the counter drugs, and natural and alternative treatments. Whether you are looking to learn more about medical topics or completing a research project, you’ll find what you need.

Youth Services Display Case

Share your collection at the library!

Our Youth Services Department has a great opportunity for young patrons to display their collectables in our display cases on the library's Lower Level. Interested? Fill out our Display Case Form for a chance to be featured. 

Vote on November 8

The next election in DuPage County is the general election on Tuesday, November 8, 2022.

Early Voting at the DuPage County Fairgrounds began September 29, 2022. An additional 21 locations will open for voting on October 24.

Voters who wish to vote by mail are encouraged to fill out a Vote by Mail application as early as possible. The first Vote by Mail ballots were mailed to voters 40 days prior to the election, and no more will be mailed out after November 3. Voted ballots must be postmarked no later than Election Day in order to be counted.

4EVER4: 60 Years of the Beatles

Wheaton Public Library will host 4EVER4: 60 Years of the Beatles, a 10-tower photo exhibit featuring nearly 100 photographs of the Beatles in its Arts and Culture Center on the main floor of the library from October 9-30. The exhibit is presented by Republic Bank of Chicago. The exhibit features photos of the Beatles performing, their antics off stage, their movies, record albums, concert posters, ticket stubs, contracts, touring schedules, and other historical photos. During the course of this exhibit, the library will feature additional Beatles focused events.

Volunteer Opportunities

Looking for ways to volunteer during the school year? Teens in grades 6-12 can earn service hours with the library! Fill out our Volunteer Interest Form and we’ll be in touch to work out a schedule.

Friends Book & Media Sale

Mark your calendar!  The Annual Friends Book & Media Sale is August 11-14 with a preview for Friends members on August 10.

This sale features thousands books for all ages, including all genres of fiction and any nonfiction topic you can think of.  Don't miss the CDs, LP records, DVDs, Blu-rays, audiobooks, and video games for sale too.  Located in meeting rooms on the lower level.  Cash, checks, credit and debit cards are accepted.

Audiobook Appreciation Month

Audiobooks are a wonderful way to consume books, whether on the go or relaxing at home. For Audiobook Appreciation Month, we wanted to highlight some of the ways you can access audiobooks through WPL.
