Margot Mertz Takes It Down by Carrie McCrossen and Ian McWethy

This is a great book for anyone who loved Moxie by Jennifer Mathieu. The main character Margot Mertz is funny, and headstrong. Margot runs a business that cleans up after other people’s digital presence in order to save money to go to Stanford. While taking a case she stumbles unto a website created to up load pictures of girls without their consent. Margot does everything in her power to take the website down, but also loses herself a bit in the process. I really liked how passionate and hard working Margot was in the book. I also felt myself grow upset by how the problem of the website wasn't taken seriously by some of the other characters, or how the creator of the website seemed to pretend like it wasn't a crime or a problem because they were going to college soon. This book doesn't have the cliche happy ending, it has a just ending that you don't always see in the real world.

TW: This book deals with heavy topics like sexting and revenge-porn.
