When I first ran across Dungeons and Drama , I was super excited to sit down and read it. A romance about D&D, a game store, musical theater, AND the cover is colorful enough to grab your eye? [Plus it's part of a series] Heck yeah, right?
Our main character Riley is not just any theater-kid, but musical theater, with plans to become a director on Broadway; her parents (divorced) couldn't be completely opposite: interior designer and musical fanatic mom (we see where you get it from Riley) and game store owner of 'Sword and Board Games' and Warhammer 40K fanatic dad (say less, pops). Unfortunately for Riley, horrible mistakes were made (taking her mom's car when she's away -without permission-, driving on the highway without a license to Columbus, Ohio, and driving with a passenger -her bestie Hoshiko- all to see the traveling Broadway showing of 'Waitress'. Regrets? Absolutely none.) and now as a punishment, Riley's not only grounded but forced to work at her dad's game shop for the next eight weeks.
If you enjoy stories of nerdy dorks falling for each other with consistent D&D and musical name drops, consider picking up this book.
