Is Atheism Dead? by Eric Metaxas

Yes, or dying, would be Metaxas' answer to the title of his book Is Atheism Dead? (2021).

Before the advent of modern science, the consensus was that the universe was eternal.  It was only the Bible that spoke of a being of unimaginable power, bringing the universe into being simply by speaking it into existence.  The foundations of evolution were poured before Einstein made the discovery that the universe was not static and Hubble confirmed that it was actually expanding.   Suddenly the eons of time needed for evolution to take place were gone.  Metaxas also uses archeology to demonstrate the validity of the Bible and very early documents point to a scripture pretty much unchanged as far back as Isaiah the prophet.  Metaxas saves his most withering criticisms for the Four Horsemen: Christopher Hitchens, Daniel Dennett, Richard Dawkins and Sam Harris, the proponents of the New Atheism.  According to Metaxas these men are disingenuous in their railing against God and religion when, according to atheism, there are no such things as right or wrong or good and evil.
