Join the Friends
Friends of Wheaton Public Library was started in 2003 to support the library and its mission.
Anyone can become a member by filling out the application and paying the annual dues, which range from $5 for Students to $50 for Best Friends. Membership dues, along with money raised from the annual sales and Book Nook purchases, directly benefit the library, including
- Story House Marsh
- Sunday Concerts
- Summer reading incentives
- Adult and children’s programs
Volunteer! Join our dedicated team of volunteers to work on sorting donations, stocking the Book Nook, and helping at book sales. For more information contact friends@wheatonlibrary.org
Donations
Donate your gently used materials to the Friends! Donation bins are located in the lobby.
We accept materials for all ages, including:
- Books
- Magazines
- Audiobooks
- DVDs and Blu-rays
- LPs and CDs
- Video Games
- Framed and unframed art (Sept.-Nov.)
Please, no VHS tapes, cassettes, or sets of encyclopedias.
Donations must be in good condition for sale. If you wouldn’t give it to a friend, please don’t donate it to the Friends.
For large donations (more than 5 boxes) please contact the Friends at friends@wheatonlibrary.org to arrange for assistance.

Shop
Book Nook
The Book Nook is located on the main floor of the library, open during regular library hours. Place your payment in the donation box located in the Nook. Cash and checks payable to Friends of the Wheaton Public Library are accepted.
Book & Media Sale (August)
This sale features thousands of fiction and nonfiction books for all ages. Shop for music on CD and LP records, movies on DVD and Blu-ray, audiobooks and video games.
