Program Description

Event Details

In his new book, Mother of the Lamb, Matthew Milliner, Associate Professor of Art History at Wheaton College, tells the remarkable story of a Byzantine image that emerged from the losing side of the Crusades. Join us to hear how this icon has expanded beyond its origins to become one of the most pervasive images of the mourning Virgin Mary, featured in more than a dozen Chicagoland churches alone.

This is a hybrid event, with an in-person presenter and both in-person and virtual participants. This registration is to attend virtually. To attend in-person instead, click here.
