Library Card Sign-up Month

Join the fabric of our community and sign up for your Wheaton Public Library card!

Public libraries are often referred to as community living rooms. They are a place where community members can come together, interact, and access a variety of resources and information. • Receive special discounts at participating Chicago area cultural destinations with our Museum Passes

  • Watch Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, and Apple TV+ with our Rokus

  • Check out AV equipment, microscopes, STEAM kits, and more through our Tech2Go Collection

  • Access platforms that help you learn new skills and build on old ones

    • Mango Languages: Language learning app that contains 70 world language courses

    • LinkedIn Learning: Take courses on Adobe Photoshop, Excel, business, and more

    • Brainfuse HelpNow: Provides live online tutoring 2-11 p.m. daily and an online writing center

  • Access eBooks, eAudiobooks, and eMagazines from anywhere

Scavenger Hunt

Beyond this list, there is so much more you can do with your library card. To find out what else you can do, participate in our Library Card Sign-up Month Scavenger Hunt in September! In collaboration with the Downtown Wheaton Association, this is the perfect opportunity to get a little exercise and learn about your library along the way.

How it works:

  1. Check out the list of participating businesses and visit 12 of them to look for our posters hanging in their windows.

  1. Record the library word you find at each poster on your scavenger hunt sheet and turn it in to our Welcome Desk to be entered into a prize drawing. Or you can fill out the online scavenger hunt form. One scavenger hunt entry per person.

  1. All posters will be posted in the windows of the businesses so the scavenger hunt can be done on any day at any time!

Register for a library card and you could win a prize!

Those that register for a library card during the month of September will also be eligible to be entered into a prize drawing. Ready to sign up? Residents who live within Wheaton city limits can now register for a library card either online or in-person. Visit our Get a Library Card page or give us a call at (630) 668-1374 for additional information on how to get your library card.
