4EVER4: 60 Years of the Beatles

Wheaton Public Library will host 4EVER4: 60 Years of the Beatles, a 10-tower photo exhibit featuring nearly 100 photographs of the Beatles in its Arts and Culture Center on the main floor of the library from October 9-30. The exhibit is presented by Republic Bank of Chicago. The exhibit features photos of the Beatles performing, their antics off stage, their movies, record albums, concert posters, ticket stubs, contracts, touring schedules, and other historical photos. During the course of this exhibit, the library will feature additional Beatles focused events. See below to learn more! 


Concert: Kaleidoscope Eyes 

Sunday, Oct. 9 • 2 pm 

WPL is kicking off the exhibit with an outdoor concert with the Beatles acoustic trio, Kaleidoscope Eyes. This concert is co-sponsored by the Wheaton League of Women Voters as part of a Rock the Vote campaign to encourage adults to register to vote. Attendees must bring seating. Performance will be held inside the library in case of inclement weather. No registration required.     

 

60 Years of the Beatles 

Tuesday, Oct. 11 • 7 pm 

Learn about the impact of the Beatles on the Chicago metropolitan area with historian John F. Lyons! Through the use of music, video and many unseen photographs from the 1960s, this highly entertaining presentation reveals untold stories of the Beatles’ visits to Chicago, highlights the unique connections between the Fab 4 and the Windy City and discusses the diverse cast of characters who were engulfed by the whirlwind of Beatlemania. This is a hybrid event. Tea and crumpets will be available for in-person participants to enjoy before the show. Registration required
