A PIN is required to -
- access My Account
(view checkouts,
renew material,
create lists,
view reading history,
add ratings,
update your telephone and email address)
- place a Hold through the online catalog
- access the Online Databases from home
- use a self-checkout station
- use an Internet workstation in the library
- request an Interlibrary Loan through the online catalog
- check out digital materials at eMediaLibrary
Your PIN -
- must be ONLY NUMBERS if you plan to use a self-checkout station
- may be between 4 and 30 characters long
- must not contain a character that is repeated 3 or more times; for example: aaa, ababa, 12333
- must not contain a set of up to 4 characters that is repeated 2 or more times; for example: abab, abcabc, abcdabcd, 98769876
Suggestion: Use the last 4 digits of your telephone number as your PIN.
Change your PIN -
Login to My Account with your current PIN. Click the Modify PIN button to change it.
Forgot your PIN?
You can reset it through email. There is a link to reset your PIN on the Login screen. You must have a valid email address in My Account for this to work. If you don't have an email address, call the library at 630-868-7510 to have your PIN reset.

To Create a PIN:
- Go to My Account.
- Type your name in the first box
- Type your barcode number
(on the back of your library card) in the second box
- Leave the PIN box empty
- Click on the Submit button
- Type the information again, including your PIN in the last two boxes
- Click on the Submit button
- Your PIN has been recorded and may be changed at any time after logging in to your account.
